Video marketing strategy series
Step 5 - Metrics: measure your success
Metrics for your website and social media are a must, we all know that.
Well, for video is exactly the same! We need this information in order to make better
videos and reach a wider audience.
Metrics you should include:
Play rate: To measure if the video was watched throughout the end or if people disengage after a few seconds.
Conversion: You need to know if your viewers are clicking away to make a purchase or find out more about the service you deliver.
Engaging and Sharing: How many people are sharing your videos and what platforms are the favourite to do so? How many likes or hearts are you collected?
Subscribers: Is important to know what specific video has helped you to gain subscribers or to lose them.
Bonus tip: If you're using Google Analytics, create a goal with a funnel. This simple action will let you track your conversions and will give you great insightful information.
Think of it as a circle, you did the first round of videos, create a publishing schedule and stick to it, you told to the word about these amazing videos you've made and then added some metrics; now is time to analyse the information and improve.
